Flax Day is our flagship event each year, held in conjunction with our AGM during Crop Production Week in January.

On Monday, January 11, 2010, more than 160 people attended the Saskatchewan Flax Development Commission's Annual General Meeting and Flax Day. Many producers attended to get answers to their questions about the effect of finding genetically modified materials in Canadian flax.

The theme for the day was "Industry Sustainability: The Path Ahead" and each speaker described some element of what will keep the flax industry strong into the future: markets, agronomy, research, new products, and continued focus on sustainabilty itself.
