Piña Colada Flax Smoothie Bowl

A bowlful of tropical goodness!


  • 2 cup (500 mL) pineapple, chopped
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) pineapple juice
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ground flaxseed
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) coconut
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) coconut milk
  • Toppings:
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) strawberries, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) ground flaxseed
2 cup pineapple, chopped1/4 cup pineapple juice2 Tbsp ground flaxseed1 Tbsp coconut1/2 cup coconut milkToppings:1 banana, sliced1/4 cup strawberries, sliced2 Tbsp ground flaxseed


  1. In a blender, combine pineapple, pineapple juice, ground flax, coconut and coconut milk.  Cover and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour smoothie into two bowls and top with banana, strawberries and flaxseed. Serve and enjoy.
  3. Serving: 2 smoothie bowl
  4. Serving size: 1 2/3 cup (400 mL) smoothie plus toppings. Each serving contains 2 Tbsp (30 mL) of flax.
