Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has released the March report for Canada: Outlook for Principal Field Crops. The estimated exports for 2019/20 have decreased to 400,000 tonnes. Looking ahead to spring planting, the area for flax is forecast to increase to 450,000 hectares and result in a production of 650,000 tonnes. Exports in 2020 are expected to be strong for Canadian flax.
