Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has released the March report for Canada: Outlook for Principal Field Crops. The 2020/21 exports of flax are estimated to be 540,000 tonnes due to increased demand from the European Union. Spring seeded area is estimated to be 460,000 hectares, up 22% from 2019/20. Flax prices in early 2021 have been very strong.
