The October AAFC Outlook for Principal Field Crops is available. The report estimates flax production for 2022/23 to be 465,000 tonnes. The carry out stocks are expected to remain tight. Exports are estimated to be 375,000 tonnes, up from exports of 219,000 tonnes in 2021/22. Exports are expected to be steady with Chinese, European and United States consumption.
